Stanley's Kids...Our Mission
Stanley's Kids mission is to provide aid to children with special needs and abilities in Nicaragua. Since our beginning in November 2016, Stanley's Kids has continued to make a difference in the lives of these children and their families in Managua. At the school where Stanley attended, we have purchased supplies for both the classroom and for the families themselves to hopefully relieve some of the pressure that these families feel raising these children in a country where they receive no governmental support. We have also been able to provide assistance with medical needs and physical therapy when needed by our Stanley's Kids Students.
In February 2018, Stanley's Kids partnered with Impact2One and Nicamerican Missions in the impoverished village of Tomas Borge, Nicaragua to establish a classroom for students with special needs in the new Katie Beth Carter Memorial Institute. This classroom currently allows thirteen children and young adults with special needs to come together several times a week to receive social interaction, education as their abilities allow and instruction in art, music and other skills.
As word has spread throughout the city of Managua and the village of Tomas Borge, we are receiving daily inquiries as to how other children can become involved and receive the benefits of this program. As with all programs of this type, funds are required to properly carry out this mission.
Our 2019 Stanley's Kids Ministry budget is $26,500, and we cannot achieve this goal without the donations of generous individuals who believe in our ministry and its goals. Our budget covers yearly salaries for two licensed Special Needs Teachers, an Assistant Teacher in our Tomas Borge Classroom, a Nicaraguan Director to carry out day to day activities of the ministry within the country, Student Supplies and Transportation and a new Student Work Program.
Stanley's Kids is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization. All donations are fully tax deductible and go directly to ministering to these children. Any donations that go above and beyond our yearly budget will allow us to assist with additional projects throughout the year such as improved housing, additional medical needs and physical therapy for many students.
Donations made through the Generosity Trust are processed through a Secure Server and are Tax Deductible
